Sharon A. Donelson died peacefully at her home with her beloved and devoted husband, Larry, at her bedside Sept. 9, 2009, after an extended illness.
Sharon Arlene Kelley was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Lower Burrell, Pa. She was the daughter of Gertrude Beck Kelley and Harold W. Kelley of Lower Burrell, Pa.
Sharon was a graduate of Earl Wheeler Finishing School in Pittsburgh, Pa., and modeled for Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta and Joseph A. Horn Co. in Pittsburgh.
She was a compassionate, loving and generous person full of boundless energy. She was very supportive of organizations that provide a better quality of life for all living things.
Sharon had a compassion for growing beautiful flowers, reading, spending quality time with her family, entertaining friends and traveling with her loving husband, Larry.
Sharon was loved by all and would light up a room upon entering.
Sharon was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Kelley and Fay Kelley Van Norman; brothers Michael K. Kelley and Jeffery L. Kelley; and daughter Heather Huntoon.
She is survived by her sister Gail Hegedes, of Durham, N.C.; daughter Payte Norris; grandson Trevor Norris; and stepson Jon Kyle (Wiliporn) Donelson, all of Phoenix.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 3-8 p.m., at Mountain Park Community Church, 2408 E. Pecos Road in Phoenix.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. at Mountain Park Community Church in Phoenix with a reception immediately following at 14215 S. Canyon Road in Phoenix.
