Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona January 26, 1989, page 2-A Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for George A. Stone, 70, of Wickenburg, who died Jan. 21 at Del E. Webb Hospital in Sun City West. Fr. Thomas E. Boyle will officiate, with interment following in the church. Mr. Stone was born Sept. 7, 1918 in Athens, Ill. He had lived in Arizona for the past 31 years, moving here from Kenosha, Wisc. He was a retired garage mechanic. He was a veteran of World War II, a charter member of Wickenburg Elks Lodge No. 2160, and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife, Agnes T. Stone, of Wickenburg; two sisters, Phyllis Miller of Show Low and Mary Lou Garfield of Wickenburg; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer society or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were by the Sun West Funeral Home of El Mirage.
