DECKER, Joseph Jay

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 13, 2009 Joseph Jay Decker, 71, died Aug. 9, 2009, in Taylor. He was born March 16, 1938, to Joseph and Minnie Decker in Akron, Ohio. Joseph served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1958. His rank was SP3. He is survived by three sons, Chip Decker of Phoenix, Jeff Decker of Snowflake and Eric (Evette) Decker of Phoenix, and daughter Jennifer (Anthony) Fagiolo of Phoenix. He also leaves eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and son Michael J. Decker. He loved fishing and camping. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Baptist Church in Snowflake, Saturday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor.
