The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ August 24, 2009 Margo Jane Johnson, 62, of Vernon died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Banner Desert Hospital in Phoenix after many months of hospitalizations. She was born June 19, 1947, in Kansas. Margo made her home with her uncle Bob and Aunt Mary Jane Ater and after the age of 3 in Kansas. In 1957 they moved to California. Margo graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1965. She married Virgil Johnson in 1965. They resided in California until 1994 and relocated to Vernon to be near Margo's aunt Mary once again. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Johnson; aunt Mary Jane Ater; uncle Jim Nelson; two brothers, Clifford and James Pittsenbarger; two stepbrothers and a sister; and her very best friend, Donna Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and her uncle Bob. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m. at Church of Our Savior, 5147 Show Low Lake Road, in Lakeside.
