Julia Carol Jeffus, 89, of Pinetop died Sunday, July 5, 2009, at Hospice Compassus. She was born Oct. 16, 1919, in Vancouver, Wash., to the late George and Julia (Schlinger) Garrison.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
 
She is survived by her son, George Dee (Vermel) Acosta of Pinetop; daughter Donna Maryland (John) Lovelady of Coarse Gold, Calif.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and sister Betty of Northern California.
