G. D. Argo Rites Held In Arizona
George D. Argo, passed away January 15, 1968 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Iconium, Iowa on August 4, 1896 moving from there to Arizona in 1958. Mr. Argo graduated from Highland Park College about 1920. He was a former member of the American Legion in Moravia; was Clerk of Court of Appanoose county for two terms; cashier for First National bank in Centerville for a time; and was in business with his brother dealing in farm machinery and sales.
Surviving are his wife, Tude Argo of Phoenix; a son, Eckert H. Argo of Phoenix; and a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Molyneux of Pelham, N. Y. Other survivors include four brothers, Ned L. of Ottumwa and Harry P., James and Eugene all of Iconium; one sister, Mrs. Veva Firkins of Iconium; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, January 18, at 11 a.m. at Grimshaw's Bethany Chapel at Phoenix with the Rev. Vernon W. Bradley officiant. Interment was at Green Acres Memorial Gardens at Phoenix.
