The Malvern Leader - Malvern, Iowa 17 November 1910 H. T. Beattie received the sad intelligence last week of the death of his brother, William Beattie, at Tucson, Arizona, November 8, 1910. He had the remains brought here for burial and funeral services, conducted by Rev. Alexander Corkey, of Wayne, Nebraska, assisted by Rev. Bruce West of the Malvern Presbyterian church were conducted from the H. T. Beattie residence Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Malvern cemetery. Deceased was a resident of New York, but had gone to the southwest for his health some months ago and Mr. Beattie was unaware of his serious condition until he received the telegram announcing his death.
