WILCOX, Billy Ray

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 27, 2009 Billy Ray Wilcox, 77, of Chandler died July 21, 2009. He was born in Fayetteville, Ark., Nov. 30, 1931. Bill graduated from Chandler High School before joining the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Redburn Tire Company in Phoenix. Bill was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Mary Guenther-Wilcox; two children, Lisa (Jon) Duff and Randy (Kim )Wilcox; grandchildren Alex, Taylor and Hannah; six stepchildren and eight stepgrandchildren. His first wife of 42 years, Eleanor, preceded him in death. Visitation was held at Bueler Mortuary in Chandler Monday, July 27, with a rosary. Funeral Mass was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chandler. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Bueler Mortuary of Chandler handled arrangements.
