Brent Durfee Wilcock passed away peacefully on July 28, 2009. Born on May 23, 1945, in Lovell, Wyo., to Thara and Ethel Beal Durfee.
Brent moved to Arizona in 1951. He graduated from Mesa High in 1963 and BYU in 1969. He served a church mission in NYC.
He married Jill Wilcken and had six children. Derek (Shawnah), Wendi (Richard) Jensen, Holli (Troy) Gardner, Devin (Tiffany), Dalen (Ali) and Trisni (Tieg) Justesen.
He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, children and 20 grandchildren as well as four of his five siblings, Kennard, Ronnie, Arvella Merrill, Thala Thomas, and many other family members and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother Wendell.
He was a loving husband, father and grandpa and faithful member of the LDS church and served with a happy heart in many callings in the church and community. Brent will be dearly missed but left a wonderful legacy.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Bunker's University Chapel 3529 E. University Drive, Mesa.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009, at 10 a.m. Gilbert Stake Center, 777 E. Elliot Rd., Gilbert. Viewing one hour prior to funeral service
