Gordon Myrel Olson born Feb. 15, 1927, to Murel and Elva Olson in Fargo, N.D. Gordon is a World War II vet. He married Jeanette Ruth Hansen and moved to Redondo Beach, Calif. He worked for GTE, now Verizon, until 1986. Gordon passed away Dec. 21, 2010.
 
He is preceded by his parents and wife, Jeanette.

Gordon married Virginia Payer and lived in Lake Havasu City and Wichita, Kan. Interment in Lake Havasu City.

Survived by wife, Virginia; daughter, Leslie Higgins; son-in-law, Robert; and grandchildren, Bobby and Jeanette; stepchildren, Beth Humlicek and Wendell Martens.

Memorial service is at 2 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2170 Havasupai Blvd., Lake Havasu City.
