Edward G. Nail Jr., 73, died Monday, June 22, 2009, in Springerville. He was born Jan. 4, 1936, in Portales, N.M., to Guy and Clura Nail.
Edward was an electrician for 43 years. He was vice president of the Luna Irrigation Co. and volunteered at the Luna Rodeo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing guitar and being outdoors.
Edward is survived by his sons, Edward Nail III of Las Cruces, N.M.; James Nail (Ruth) of Roanoke, Texas; daughters Cheryl Ballew (Steve) of Casa Grande and Renetta Nail of Casa Grande; brother Delmar Nail; sister Clara Guthrie; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service was held Thursday, June 25, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Luna Chapel, in Luna, N.M.
