The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 14, 2009 Frances D. "Skip" Kartanowicz died May 11, 2009, in Sarasota, Fla. He was born Feb. 27, 1944. He served his country in the Vietnam war in the Air Force. Skip is survived by three children, six grandchildren and one daughter-in-law. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 24, at the National Cremation Society in Sarasota, Fla.
