The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 14, 2009 In loving memory of Valerie Rose Gatewood, lifelong resident of Cibecue, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Mountain Vista Hospital in Mesa. Valerie was born Feb. 9, 1966, in Cibecue. She leaves behind her children, Velecia Gatewood, Sabrina Gatewood, Chance DeHose, Tedrick Bourke and Quntin Bourke; grandchildren Mia Hoskie, McKale Hoskie, Vince Begaye and Jamacuse DeHose; brothers Alfonso Gatewood and Keith Gatewood; sister Marcia Cooley; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith Bread, and brothers Lyle Bushma and Glenn Gatewood Sr. Her body will be brought back to her sister Marcia Cooley's residence at 201 E. Hollywood Hill House No. 58 in Cibecue, for a two-night wake Thursday, May 14, at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at the Latter Day Saints Church in Cibecue. She will be laid to rest at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cibecue. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
