COVIN, Leland Bayard

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ May 14, 2009 Leland Bayard Covin, 74, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, in Mesa. He was born May 23, 1934, in Hanford, Calif., to Cless and Ruby (Malm) Covin. He was employed with Occidental Petroleum on an offshore rig for five years. A creative and fun loving person with a great sense of humor, he will be missed by all. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, JoAnn Covin of Show Low; sons Jim (Doroles) Covin of Los Angeles, Calif., Bob (Lisa Ann) Covin of Riverside, Calif.; daughter Julie Covin of Riverside, Calif.; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends. Memorial services were held Monday, April 20, at Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel, 320 N. 9th St. in Show Low. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
