Paul Franz Kapelke Jr., 72, died Thursday May 14, 2009, in Heber. He was born April 23, 1937, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Paul Franz Kapelke and Nila Bolz Kapelke.

Paul taught classes for AARP. He was a great guy who loved the outdoors. Paul was a member of the Heber Flying Club.

He is survived by his wife, Penelope; children Paul F. Kapelke III, Robyn Simpson, Richelle Hammonds, R.J. Pais, Rodney Pais and Rai Logan.

Private services will be held.
