NIECE, Mary Dell (Nana)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ June 4, 2009 Mary Dell Niece (Nana) peacefully departed this life, Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Hospice Compassus in Lakeside. She left with her daughters at her side and was met by her loving husband Oscar. Mary was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Coolidge, Kan. to Gladys and Jeffie Hoover. She married Oscar L. Niece in Syracuse, Kan. Sept. 16, 1945. To this union were born two daughters, Mary Lee and Margie Jewell. Mary and Oscar lived in Bristol, Colo. until they fell in love with Lake Powell and moved to Page. Mary loved to crochet, read, baking pies and cakes for birthdays and holidays and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mary is survived by daughters, Mary Lee (H.R.) Chlarson of Eagar and Margie Binder of Page; grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Holman of Grand Junction, Colo., Kerry (Maria) Binder of Mesquite, Nev., Shelly (Jabe) Warner of Page, Chelsea (Chad) Hendrickson of Page, Courtney Harris of Page, Jerry (Tiffany) Chlarson, Utah, Shane (Cathy) Chlarson of Mesa and Michelle Chlarson of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Gail (Marie) Hoover and Jr. Hoover of Holly, Colo. She was blessed to have 19 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; parents, Gladys and Jeffie Hoover; sisters, Hazel Williams, Bernice Cave and Beatrice Ratledge and granddaughter Susan Beyer. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 10, at the Faith Bible Chapel. Inurnment will be at the Page Cemetery following the services. All who wish to attend are welcome.
