The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 2, 2009 Simonne V. De Prins, 74, of Snowflake was taken by the Lord March 2, 2009. Simonne was born March 8, 1934, in Wilrijk/Antwerp, Belgium, Europe. She left Europe in 1959 to begin a new life with her future husband in Chicago, Ill. She and her husband retired in 1997 and moved to Arizona. Simonne is survived by her husband, Armand, and son Harry (Nanci). Her sweet and caring ways will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A memorial service will be held at Valley View Southern Baptist Church, 1212 S. Main St., in Snowflake Saturday, April 4, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Simonne's name to the Arizona Animal Welfare League, 30 N. 40th Place, Phoenix, AZ 85034 or the Nature Conservancy, 1331 H St. NW, Suite 400, Washington, D.C. 20005-4734.
