TALLEY, Maynard E.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 2, 2009 Maynard E. Talley died March 26, 2009, in Phoenix. He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Halifax County, Va. Maynard retired from Mountain States Telephone Company after 33 years to enjoy a lifestyle in Pinetop where he spent time playing golf, fishing and exploring the great outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Betty Louise; sons Maynard E. Talley III and William BS Talley Sr.; grandchildren William BS (Keri) Talley Jr. and Brandon T. (Candi) Talley; three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joseph Thelma Talley; father Maynard E. Talley Sr. and brother Russel D. Talley. Services will be held April 4 at 10 a.m. at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85015 in the name of Maynard E. Talley. Shadow Mountain Mortuary of Phoenix handled arrangements.
