Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona March 2, 1989, page 2-A Philip F. Hartman, 79, of Mesa, died Feb. 20 in Mesa. Mr. Hartman was born in Kansas City, Mo., and was the founder and former president of Mesa General Hospital. He was a doctor of osteopathic medicine, a 1932 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathy in Kirksville, Mo. He came to Mesa from Missouri 57 years ago, and was the first president of the Arizona State Society of Osteopathic Medicine. Mr. Hartman was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mesa; a member and past president of Mesa Rotary and was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, two sons, Philip of Maricopa and James of Wickenburg; a daughter, Kathryn Scott of Wickenburg; a sister Elizabeth Olson of Dallas; a brother, James, of Garland, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
