Alice Ealy Alice left us unexpectedly and suddenly on December 10, 2010. She was born Alicia Saenz on March 2, 1929 in her home at 623 South Star in Tucson to her parents, Fransisco and Guadalupe Saenz. Alice was 81 and full of life. Alice is survived by her immediate family comprised of Bill, her husband of 53 years; three daughters, Iris Towle (John), Phyllis Phillips (Bill) and Lisa Ealy (Mark); three grandsons, John Towle III (Barbara), Jake Towle and Kyle Towle; her one month old great-grandson, John Towle IV and her sister, Teresa Forrey. Alice was a loving wife for all seasons; a caring, loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who worked tirelessly for their well-being. She leaves a very large void in the lives of her family who loved her dearly. Alice enjoyed an active lifestyle, both socially and physically right up to the end of her life, including nine holes of golf with the Niners the day before her passing. Her activities included hiking, golfing, bird watching, quilting, sewing and crocheting. T hroughout her lifetime she participated with social groups such as the Twenty Teens, The Arco Iris and The Gay Senoritas. Everyone who knew Alice liked her. She had a wonderful personality and a great big beautiful smile and was quick to laughter. Alice was baptized Catholic as an infant and actively participated in the sacramental life of the Church her entire life. She was married in the St. Augustine Cathedral and her final parish was Santa Catalina, where she sang in the Spanish speaking choir. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd. in Oro Valley, (at the intersection with Vistoso Commerce Loop). A Rosary will be recited at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Santa Catalina Church, 14380 N. Oracle Road in Catalina.
