Candace Mayer Bradford died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital due to complications from pneumonia.

She has battled medical problem for several years and has stayed strong, courageous and true to her faith through it all.

She was born Oct. 1, 1956, in De Kalb, Ill. Candy was a kindhearted, wonderful girl with a generous heart and a beautiful spirit.

"God blessed us with this truly wonderful angel for 52 years and has now taken her back home. God, our special angel is in your hands now; take good care of her for us. We will love you forever."

Candy is survived by her parents, Robert and Betty Mayer of Woodruff; five sisters, Kathy Sandoz, Pamela Burrell, Linda Casper of Show Low and Sandy Wong and Robin Fair; three brothers, Bobby Mayer, Ricky Mayer and Ronny Mayer; five nieces, including Shanna Dominguez and Miranda Minton of Show Low; 11 nephews including Ken Sandoz of Show Low; nine great-nieces and a great-nephew.
