"Marge" Salter died Jan. 8, 2011 at home following various injuries. She was born Nov. 13, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Arthur and Beatrice Ensign. She married John "Jack" Salter Feb. 1, 1947, in Madison, Wis. They became the blessed parents of five daughters and one son. She attended Madison Vocational School and pursued her dream as an occupational therapist assistant. She used that experience in several nursing centers in the Madison area. She and Jack moved to Lake Havasu City in 1982 where they managed a motel as well as being available in helping Children's Services. She was an active member of Mount Olive Church in Lake Havasu City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eldest daughter, Linda (Mrs. William "Page") Dilks.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years; daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Joseph) Cross, Patricia (Mrs. Lorenzo) Vasquez, Marcia (Mrs. Robert) Foster, Rebecca (Mrs. Blaine) Rogers; son, James (and Pattie) Salter; brother, Arthur Ensign; son-in-law, Page Dilks; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her body is willed to Science Care and her soul to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Celebration of her life service is at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m.
