Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the Wickenburg Elks Lodge for Ray Eidson, 67, of Congress who died June 19 at his home in Congress.
Mr. Eidson was born Jan 13, 1922 in Okmulgee, Okla. He had lived in Arizona for the past 20 years.
He was retired from the Yavapai County School District as a bus driver.
He was a veteran of World War II and Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Eidson was a member of Wickenburg Elks Lodge No. 2160, where he was a past exalted ruler. He also served as area vice chairman of the Elks National Service Commission; served on numerous committees and was especially active with veteran affairs; and received many awards through the Arizona Elks Association.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann, of Congress; a son, J.D. Eidson of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Jaunetta Grimes of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; six grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Elks National Foundation or the Elks National Service Commission, care of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge.
