Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona June 22, 1989, page 2-A Funeral mass for Troy V. Moore, 69, of Wickenburg was May 24 in Enid, Okla. Mr. Moore died May 17 in the VA Hospital in Phoenix, and was buried in Enid following the May 24 funeral ceremonies. He lived in Arizona for the past two years, and was retired from the Douglass Aircraft Corp. in California as a machinist. Mr. Moore was born near Canton, Okla. on Oct. 24, 1919, and grew up in that area. He worked in the U.S. Gypsum plant before moving to California, where he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1940. He served for six years in the European and Pacific theaters of operations. Survivors include two sisters, Theresa Mae Cox of Lakeland, Fla., and Mrs. Carl “Harvesta” Cowherd of Enid; and two brothers, Doyle G. Moore and Jerome Moore, both of Enid.
