Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona June 22, 1989, page 2-A Memorial services were Monday in South Bend, Ind., for Fremont F. Clark, 86, who died June 12 in St. Paul’s Health Care Center in South Bend. Following cremation, Mr. Clarke’s cremains will be interred in the Wickenburg Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Clarke was a longtime resident of Wickenburg, living in the community from 1967 to 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jean Clarke, in 1984. He was born March 29, 1903 in Oak Park, Ill. Mr. Clarke retired in 1967 from the Lithium Corporation of America, where he worked as a mining engineer. He was a member of Hassayampa Lodge No. 37 AF&AM; Black Hills Council No. 3 in Lead, S.D.; Schrader Commandry No.9, Knights Templar, of Rapid City, S.D.; El Zaribah Shrine Temple of Phoenix and the Wickenburg Shrine Club. He was a member of the Society of Mining Engineers. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy A. Galvin, of Roe, Mass., and Cathy L. Hermann of Teaneck, N.J.; one son, Douglas F. Clarke of South Bend; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona November 9, 1989, page 2-A The ashes of Fremont Clarke, a winter resident of Wickenburg who passed away in mid-June in South Bend, Ind. will be interred in ceremonies at 10 a.m. Friday at the Wickenburg Cemetery. The Rev. Wick Hutchison of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Mr. Clarke had resided in Westpark for 18 years prior to his death. Friends are invited to join the family at the interment services.
