Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona October 26, 1989, page 2-A Private cremation was conducted of Lawrence A. “Tiny” Davis, 86, of Congress, who died Oct. 21 in Prescott. Mr. Davis was born April 27, 1903 in Almena, Kan. He had lived in Arizona for the past 17 years. He was retired from the State of Nebraska as a construction worker. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2862 in Yarnell and the Wickenburg Gem and Mineral Society. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a surgical technician in the 27th General Hospital medical detachment. Survivors include his wife, Grace; a stepson, Roe, of Congress; four daughters, Fern Alvis, Chastaine Peters, Sharon Schlicthman and Glenda Roe, a brother, Walter Davis, a sister, Julia McKee; six grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 46 great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott.
