Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Wickenburg for Harry Arthur Hollett, 78, of Peoria, who died Oct. 29 at Valley view Hospital in Youngtown.
Dr. A.B. (Bert) Follmar will officiate.
Mr. Hollett and his wife, Bessie, who survives him, are longtime members of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was born in 1911 in Des Moines, Iowa. He had lived in Arizona for the past 24 years, after moving to the state from Waterloo, Iowa.
He was a retired professional photographer, who was locally recognized for his photo book “The Chosen Twelve,” which received worldwide distribution in 1976. He also recorded the bicentennial pictures of all photographers in the 50 states and it hangs today in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
He was educated at Ames College in Iowa and served during World War II in the Army Air Corps with the rank of major, as a flight instructor.
In addition to his wife, He is survived by a son, Bud Gates Hollett of Boise, Idaho; a daughter, Judy Lee Camp of Virginia Beach, Va. 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Lundberg’s Golden Door Chapel of Youngtown was in charge of arrangements.
