The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ March 12, 2009 Deena Kaye Douglas, 50, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, in Eagar. She was born April 26, 1958, to Dean Davies Battishill and Ethel Estelle Hill in Silver City, N.M. Deena was a bank teller and very proud to be a real estate agent for five years. She raised two fine sons and was married to Ken Douglas for 32 years. She is survived by her husband, Ken Douglas of Eagar; sons Matthew Wayne Douglas of Florence and Allen Ray Douglas of Eagar; mother Ethel Estelle Battishill of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother Robert Battishill of Garland, Texas; sisters Margaret Provencio of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Vicki Dickerson of Artesia, N.M. Deena was preceded in death by her father, Dean Davies Battishill. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church of Springerville. Donations may be made to any Alzheimer's Research foundation. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
