FREHAFER, Dale


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ March 12, 2009 Dale Frehafer was born Nov. 21, 1942. He grew up in Schuylkill Haven, Pa., in the house where his mother was born. He joined the Air Force and spent time in Vietnam and the Azores before being sent to Williams Air Force base in Chandler. Dale was an air traffic controller for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He spent the last 15 years in Lakeside, where he worked several years for the Blue Ridge School District. Dale also squeezed in as much fishing and traveling as possible. Dale was the only child of Mabel and LaMarle Frehafer, but he leaves behind his wife Marlene, son Clinton, a large, loving family in Phoenix and friends that will miss him very much. A memorial service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 14. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to White Mountain Hospice, 1789 W.
