Dorothy L. Beeson, 82, died March 14, 2009, at the Rim Country Health and Retirement Community in Payson. She was a longtime resident of the Douglas/Bisbee area.
Mrs. Beeson was born Nov. 9, 1926, to Roy E. and Bessie (Lloyd) Stokes in Marshfield, Mo. She raised horses and loved flowers. She made furniture for her home. She was an artist and drew pencil drawings. Later in life she learned silversmithing.
Survivors include three sons, Robert L. Beeson of Glendale, Bishop D. Beeson of Eagar and Brent J. Beeson of Casper, Wyo.; two brothers, Gary Stokes of Flagstaff and Robert Stokes of Chino, Calif.; sister Joann Moore of Payson; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert D. Beeson, daughter Rebecca Ann and her parents.
Funeral service were held Thursday, March 19, at Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel in Coolidge. Burial was at the Valley Memorial Park in Coolidge.
Simes Mortuaries Coolidge Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
