MOODY, Dana Amos


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 6, 2009 Dana Amos Moody, 33, was called back to his eternal home in heaven Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in Hon Dah. He was born in Phoenix Aug. 23, 1975, to the late Daniel Moody, and his mother Theresa Nosie Moody. "Dana will be dearly missed, and he will be forever in our hearts with precious memories." Dana helped build the ski lifts in Sunrise in 1996. He was a logger and most recently a dishwasher at Kabuki's Restaurant, Red Devil Pizza Place and Pinetop Lakes Country Club. Dana is survived by his mother, Theresa Nosie Moody; sisters Priscilla Benally and Danielle Moody; brothers Darren Enis Moody and Danielson Lyle Moody; grandmother Mavis Keyes Moody; fiancée Jineane Tessay; godson Kymani White; as well as five nieces, six nephews, many aunts and uncles, cousins, two grandmothers clanwise, nephews, nieces, friends and relatives. Dana was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Moody; grandfather Enis Moody; grandmother Imogene Clark; and grandfather Jay Nosie Sr. There will be a two-night wake starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at the home of his mother, Theresa Moody, at Hon Dah Apache Dawn Homesites. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. at East Fork Miracle Church with Pastor Wenonah Lupe officiating. Dana's resting place will be at his family plot in upper East Fork. Arrangements are being handled by Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor and Whiteriver offices.
