TOOMEY, Sharon Louise


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 13, 2009 Sharon Louise Toomey, 70, died Feb. 8, 2009, at RTA Hospice and Palliative Care in Lakeside. She was born in Missouri to Frederick Walter Toomey and Vera Marie Stewart on Dec. 13, 1938. She acquired a bachelor's degree in nursing and worked as a nurse in the service from 1963-66 with the title of captain. She loved sewing, knitting, fishing, shopping and time with her family. She was the strongest, most determined lady there was. She overcame many trials in her life and helped her children through their trials with love and understanding. She had been sick for the past several years and fought right to the end. Her family would like to acknowledge RTA Hospice for their love and support to the family and her good friends, Ellen and Marsha. She is survived by daughter Melissa Vesele and son Timothy Toomey, both of Lakeside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Toomey and Vera Stewart.
