The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 24, 2009 Alfonso Alejandro Gomez, 20, of Arizona City passed away Feb. 14, 2009. He is survived by his parents, Cathleen (Paul) Duran and Ernesto (Patricia Burgemeyer) Gomez; grandparents Rafael Gomez, Andrew (Josephine) Ballejos, Damiana (George) McCormick. He was also survivevd by siblings, Maria Elena Gomez, Ana Alicia Gomez, Joshua Paul Duran, Jesse Andrew Duran, Ana Ruth Gomez and Briana Eliza Gomez. Survivors include aunts and uncles Laura Gomez, Marisela Gomez, Rafael Gomez Jr., Carlos Gomez, Evangeline Packer, Corina Wilson, Ruben Duran, Louis Duran, Kenny Duran, Michael Duran, Jerry Duran, Richard Duran, Peter Duran, Manuel Leyba and David Leyba; and 37 first cousins and 41 second cousins. Many other beloved family members also survive. Alfonso was preceded in death by Mary Jane Gomez, Pablo and Evangeline Leyba, Roman and Crisostoma Ballejos, Ricky Leyba and Angie and Charlie Duran.
