HUGHEY, Bobby


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 27, 2009 Bobby Hughey, 75, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at his residence in Reserve, N.M. He was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Whiteriver. Bobby was a retired trapper for the State of New Mexico. He moved to Reserve, N.M., at a young age and fell in love with the mountains where he could fish, hunt, four-wheel, trap and raise his family. He had many friends and will be greatly missed. Bobby is survived by daughter Peggy Hughey Beecher, sister Delma Brewer and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Stella Hughey; father Bill Hughey and two daughters, Vila Arciero and Rose Pauline Hughey. Funeral services were held Feb. 26 at the Luna Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Luna, N.M. Visitation was held prior to the service.
