The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 13, 2009 Linda Sue Carswell passed into the afterlife Jan. 3, 2009. She was born July 17, 1949. Linda graduated this life with great honor from the many who loved her. She served on the Salvation Army Service Unit for the past two years. Linda enjoyed Elvis Presley music, movies and memorabilia, her animals and read many books. She lived a simple and natural life as a genuine and true friend to others, especially her large family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Carswell (sealed in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and sister Vonda Cox. Linda is survived by her mother and father, Billie and Vern Eccleston; daughter Carolyn (Dudley) Hamm; grandchildren Veronica, Venessa, derrick and Sarah Hamm; great-grandchild Corrine; sisters Rita Bergman, Barbara Bergman, Brenda Bergman, Geneva Bergman and Donna Inman; brothers Mell Bergman and Mitchell Bergman; uncle Richard Harmon and family from Overgaard; aunts Rosabell Harmon and family and Wanda Price (also considered her best friend) and family. Those who knew Linda feel a great loss of this beautiful person in their lives and are thankful for the blessing of knowing her. "God Bless Linda." Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Heber Cemetery with Bishop Matt Weber of the Heber First Ward officiating.
