SCHMIT, Irmtraud (Trudie)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, January 13, 2011 Irmtraud (Trudie) Schmit Trudie Schmit, 82, was born Jan. 16, 1928, in Vienna, Austria, and passed away on Jan. 4, 2011. Trudie had lived in Prescott Valley, Ariz., for more than 14 years. She is survived by her nephew, Erich Bruckmueller and his twin sons, Robert and Michael Bruckmueller of Vienna. Trudie had a great sense of humor, and loved animals. She also loved to swim, sew, cook and entertain. She enjoyed classical music and opera, especially concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic from her hometown. Though she did not have family nearby, Trudie was a wonderful friend to many people and will be greatly missed by those who were like family to her. She leaves dear friends in Prescott Valley, Chicago, Indiana, Florida and Austria, among others. Information provided by survivors.
