KATO, Betty (Ms. Betty)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 13, 2009 Betty Kato passed into the arms of Jesus Christ Jan. 1, 2009, after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 31, 1937. She was active and committed to her church where she as adoringly known as "Ms. Betty." With her glorious voice, she could sing the blues, old time spirituals and her beloved gospel songs. Those who heard will never forget the treasure of her voice in song. Now she sings with the angels. " You taught me that our Savior loves forever, gives life eternal. Because of this my love; in sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore, together and sing our tribute of praise." - her husband, Wesley. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Kato; brother Larry; children, Laura, Robin, David and Luana; step-children, Sharon, Kerry, Dennis and Micahel and Kathy; numerous grandchildren and great-children. Service details will be released at a later date.
