YARRISON, Franklin Allan


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ January 6, 2009 Franklin Allan Yarrison, 79, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in Flagstaff. He was born March 1, 1929, in Loganton, Pa., to Charles Franklin Yarrison and Nettie Sabina Schrack. Franklin was a super dad who was very committed to his family and very devoted to his wife Florence. He was a great mentor to his grandchildren. He made arrowheads by hand. He was a mason; his handy work can be seen all over the White Mountains and Northern Arizona. He loved to hunt and fish. He made the best jerky and old fashioned fruit roll-ups. Franklin loved to work in his garden and yard. He could really "shoot the bull." He is survived by his wife, Florence; four children, Joseph Charles (Ginger) Yarrison, Nelson Blaine Yarrison, Nettie Louise Mordh and Irene Lynn Yarrison; five sisters, Millie McDuffee, Alice Rowe, Harriett Beiter, Katherine Stiver and Hilda Harbach; sister-in-law Louise (Ray) Gohl; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held Friday, Jan. 2, at the Owens Livingston Mortuary, 409 N. 1st Ave., in Holbrook. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
