Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory, Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Published on Friday, January 14, 2011 - Mary Ruth Green Sullivan Cadwell, 86, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on September 14, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan to Harry and Ruth Greene. Mary graduated from St. Mary Cathedral High School in Saginaw, MI and went on the work as a Registered Nurse for many years prior to earning her B.S.N. in Nursing at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. in 1965. She later obtained her M.A. in Nursing from New York University in 1968. Thereafter, she taught nursing at Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, MI., Michigan State University and Saginaw Valley State College. Mary and her husband of 41 years, Benjamin F. Sullivan, moved to Lake Havasu City in 1978 and her preceded her in death in 1992. She later married Robert Cadwell in March of 2000 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Mary was an avid member of the ELKS BPOE #2399 Dart League as well as a member of the Eagles F.O.E. #4299 and was a proficient bowler. Mary will be deeply missed by those that loved her and will forever be remembered as "precious Aunt Puthie" by her nieces and nephews. Mary is survived by her sister, Virginia Green (James) Lewis of Ann Arbor, MI; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews as well as her dear friends. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, B.F. Sullivan Jr. and her late husband, Robert Cadwell; brothers, Robert and Harry H. Green Jr. and a sister, Dorothy G. Black. Rosary will be said by Father Thomas Kawai on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Lake Havasu Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will follow until 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in Mary's name. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful, loving caregivers at the Polodori Hospice House. Arrangements are under the care of Lake Havasu Mortuary and Crematory.
