Robert Charles Schultz, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, in Show Low. He was born Sept. 9, 1939, in Kenosha, Wis. to Raymond and Lucile Haase Schultz.
Robert was educated in Kenosha, Wis. He was drafted into the US Army from 1961-63 and was stationed in Germany for part of that time. In 1963, Robert married Marjorie Jean Mayer. Robert completed an apprenticeship in construction pipe fitting and worked for more than 30 years as a journeyman pipe fitter; he retired in 2000. He was a member of the Local #118 Plumbers and Pipefitters, serving as it’s president at one time.
Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing tennis and pickle ball and was quite competitive. He belonged to the Kenosha Sportfishing and Conservation Association and served as it’s president as well. Robert enjoyed spending the winter months in the Florida Keys. He and Marjorie moved to Show Low from Kenosha, Wis., 3 1/2 years ago. Robert was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Kenosha and the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lakeside. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Carolyn Schultz-Walter (Dan), Jennifer Plath (Doug); grandsons, Joshua Plath, Benjamin Plath, Andrew Plath; brothers, Donald Schultz, John Schultz.
A private family service has been held. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
