HALE, Audie


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ November 24, 2010 Audie Hale, 51, died Nov. 16, 2010, at his residence in Springerville. He was born Dec. 14, 1958 in Springerville, the son of Clifford and DiAnn Hale. At Round Valley High School Audie was a three-year state champion wrestler. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the George C. Marshall submarine. He spent four years off and on underwater working in the torpedo room and was a Petty Officer 1st Class. He was hard working and worked as a heavy equipment operator in the logging industry. Audie loved the outdoors camping, hunting, fishing and playing pranks on people. He loved his family and never met a stranger. Audie was a good provider and would give you the shirt off of his back. He will be forever loved and missed. Audie is survived by his mother, DiAnn Hale of N.D.; fiancé Glenda Terry; siblings: LaRee (Crest) Merrill, LaNita (Bob) Koontz, Marilyn (Danny) Coppedge, Doyle (Lisa) Hale, Tonya Goelz, Clifford Ferrell (Mandy) Hale, Daryl (Jennifer) Hale, and Ina Sue (Milo) Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Sheldon Hale and companion Nona Walker. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 22, at the Springerville Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
