Dr. Michael "Doc" Horine, 80, of Pinetop died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at his residence. He was born Jan. 11, 1930, in Potosi, MO to Frank and Marie (Braddock) Horine.
He was raised and attended school in Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper. He and Virginia Coggins were married July 3, 1954, in Florissant, MO. They moved to Phoenix in 1958, where he established Chiropractic Services and worked there for 30 years, retiring in 1988. He came to Pinetop in 1997. He was a member of the NRA and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9907. He enjoyed fishing and shooting and was involved with a gun club. He also enjoyed a wonderful life with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Virginia; daughter Michele (Roger) Pyle of Surprise; son Greg (Karen) Horine of Peoria; grandchildren Justin and Nick Pyle and Andrew and Scott Horine; great-grandson, J. J. Pyle; brother Ronald Horine and two sisters Betty and Patty. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
