Beth Luster Kelly, 90, died July 30, 2010, at Beehive Home in Eagar. She was born in Pima May 23, 1920.
Beth was a school teacher for 35 years, teaching in many districts including Safford, Pima, Lakeside and McNary. While growing up Beth lived in Pima, Ft. Grant and Florence, graduating from Gila Academy. She received her teaching degree from Arizona State University. She married Lee Kelly July 9, 1944. They made their home first in Pima, then Pinetop-Lakeside, then in 1970 once again in Pima.
Beth is survived by three daughters, Linda Simkins, Charlene Kelly,and Kathy (John) Whitmire; former son-in-law Joe Hill. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Vince (Andrea) Simkins, Beth (Ty) Salyer, Natalie Duerksen, Jamie (Justin) Smith, Charles (DeDe) Simkins, Cliff (Cassie) Whitmire, Shawn (Kim) Hill, Patrick Hill, Mekenna Whitmire and Brian Whitmire. Great-grandchildren Virginiaa Salyer, Samanthaz Salyer, Michael Whitmire, Tamree Whitmire, Brittany Whitmire, Soraya Hill, Kylee Smith and Samantha Smith; two brothers Charles Kay (Bertha) Luster, and Ray C. (Nayda) Luster; sister-in-law Marlene Luster and many nephews and nieces.
Beth was preceded in death by her husband Lee, daughter Mary, grandson Aaron Scott Hill, and brother Ben Patton Luster.
Services were held Aug. 5, in the Old Pima LDS Chapel. Interment was in the Pima Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended at www.caldwellfuneralchapel.com
