The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ July 1, 2010 James P. Bilodeau died June 27, 2010, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Burlington, Vt. Jim was a fixture in the Pinetop area for about 30 years. He owned and operated the Village Ski ski shop in Pinetop for about 25 years from the late 70s to the early 90s. He was a great man who gave many of the teenagers in high school, jobs in the ski shop. He showed and helped a lot of people how to ski and enjoyed it immensely. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Air Force. He grew up in San Diego, Calif. with his family and loved to surf. One of the original members of the Pacific Beach Surf Club. Jim loved life and the outdoors. He was a graduate of the St. Augustine Catholic High School and went on to San Diego State University to get his bachelor's degree in English. "Thank you Jim for the memories. You are gone, but never forgotten." He is survived by his daughter Quinan (Tom) Trojanowski and grandchildren Brittney and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Flora and Napoleon Bilodeau. Following Jim's wishes, he will be creamated.
