Ann Marie Colwell Saylor, 77, died peacefully March 5, 2010, in Snowflake. She was born Oct. 11, 1932, to William Colwell and Thelma Smith Colwell in Little Rock, Ark.
Ann moved to Arizona in 1952 where she met Charles Eugene Elwood Saylor and they were married Sept. 4, 1953, in Wickenburg. They had two daughters. During the first years of marriage Ann was a member of Civil Air Patrol and worked with the Red Cross providing first aid at rodeos throughout Arizona.
Ann worked many years at Kellwood Garment Factory in Mesa. Following the passing of her husband Chuck in 1976, Ann worked another 20 years at Garrett Turbine Engines Tempe. After retirement Ann was an active hospice volunteer and member of the Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
She is survived by her daughters Cindy (Geoff) Langbehn of Palmdale, Calif., and Dawn (Ben) Foster of Shumway; sisters Francis (Steven) Baker of Prescott, Mildred Schlect (Mike) Pennell of Texas, Vanessa Amairia of Wilcox, Nitnoi Brown of Arizona, Frieda (Dennis) Paton and Alexander of Arkansas, Edna Cobb of Des Arc, Ark.; brothers Richard Brown of Arizona, Norman Colwell of Ottawa, Kan., and Maurice Hinshaw of Des Arc, Ark.; grandchildren (by Dawn) Jonathan (Rebecca Rotter of Mesa, (by Cindy) Joshua Brown of Palmdale, Calif., Meghan Brown of Illinois and great-grandchidlren (by Jonathan) Lauren Rotter and Hunter Rotter.
No services will be held as all loving farewells were exchanged while Ann was still with her family. Donations to Hospice are appreciated.
