The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 12, 2010 Helen Morrow, 97, died early Sunday morning, Feb. 7, 2010, at her Snowflake home of natural causes. Helen was born in Litchfield, Montgomery County, Ill., July 9, 1912, to the late John and Margaret (Maka) Kasper. After receiving her education, Helen began working as a steel mill laborer. She was a hard worker throughout her life and held that job she held for many, many years. She married to her first husband, Harry Hatten, for 43 years before they divorced. She later married Albert Morrow, a marriage which lasted nearly 20 years before he died. Helen is survived by brother Johnny Kasper of Florida. and Indiana; stepson Bob Hatten of South Carolina and her caretaker and good friend Betty M. Lee of Snowflake. Helen was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary.
