Clayton P. Nelson, 57, passed away Nov. 28 in the arms of his loving wife, Cynthia Nelson, at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. Clayton was born in Quonset Point, R.I., to Roswell and Victoria Nelson who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; eight children, Vincent Nelson of Baldwin Park, Calif., Melisa Nelson, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., Michele Nelson, of Pomona, Calif., Corey Nelson-Zust of St. Louis, Mo., Lacey Bretado, of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Cenah Nelson of Lake Havasu City, Clayton P. Nelson Jr., of Lake Havasu City, and his baby daughter, Liliana Nelson, of Lake Havasu City; two grandsons, Daniel and Jason Nelson, of Baldwin Park, Calif.; along with two sisters; Christine Nelson, Cheryl Nelson (deceased); and brother, Chris Nelson.
Clayton worked in the heating and air conditioning industry for many years, making him the best in his trade. To his family, he was a great father and provider. He will be greatly missed, but his family rejoices in the fact that he is in heaven.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 30 at Living Word Family Church, 1890 W. Acoma Blvd., LHC, AZ, 86403.
