Dwayne I. "Bud" Duge
Dwayne I. "Bud" Duge, 74, of Prescott Valley, died May 18.
Mr. Duge was born July 13, 1930, in Brewster, Minn., the son of Arnold and Wilhemina (Kraft) Duge. He married Gloria Smith April 20, 1962, and she died in 1998.
In his younger days, Mr. Duge was a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and New York Giants. He served as an ensign in the U.S. Navy. He was a 20-year veteran of the Phoenix Police Dept. Mr. Duge enjoyed target practice shooting and was proud of his family.
Mr. Duge is survived by his children and their spouses, Scott Duge, Fremont, Calif., Kent Duge of Phoenix, RaNell Scott of Huntsville, Ohio, Christy Wilson of Camp Verde and Amy Duge of Prescott Valley; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 Valley Road, Prescott Valley, 3-6 p.m., today, May 22.
Funeral services will also be at the chapel on Monday, May 23, at 9 a.m., Committal services will be at Resthaven Memorial Park, 6290 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, on Monday at 2 p.m. with honors provided by the Fraternal Order of Police.
