Elgie Lee "Bud" Burns, 84, of Camp Verde, died May 18, 2005. He was born May 24, 1920, in Shawnee Okla. 

He was a veteran of the Army and National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Betty Burns, a sister Maryann of Phoenix, and a brother, Lou Burns of Chino Valley, step-grandchild Rick Engelen of Camp Verde, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
