WALLACE, Neil J.

The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, AZ September 18, 2005 Neil J. Wallace 63, of Maui, Hawaii, died Sept. 7, 2005. He was born in Long Beach, Calif., on May 24, 1944. Neil is survived by his mother Mary L. Wallace, of Cottonwood, sister Carol A. Robertson, brother-in-law Joe Robertson and daughter Monique A. Robertson, stepbrother Raliegh Burt and his Sandra Burt and family. Neil's father, John R. Wallace preceded him in death. Neil lived with his sister Carol and Joe Robertson, as Joe was away from home working a lot. Neil graduated from Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, Calif., as his father and sister did. Soon after graduating he joined the National Guard for six years. When he came home he attended Long Beach City College in Long Beach, Calif. He married Susan Milligan on March 21, 1970; they had no children. He worked for the telephone company in Long Beach until he moved to Hawaii. They lived in Maui for 25 years. Neil will be missed by his family and friends. He loved sports, traveling and surfing. A funeral service will be held on the ocean, as he wished. A memorial service will be held at the home of Joe and Carol Robertson on Maui, Hawaii.
